Great! Do you think technology also made our lives complicated? Some say technology made life easier but there are people nowadays who seem to be stagnant without technology around them. Their world seems to stop revolving without gadgets or hi-tech equipment. What can you say about this?
Delete1. Yes. Because we humans excel in life because of technology. We can share everything in our lives in the internet to our friends.

Nice. I infer that you consider technology a partner of civilization and progress. I agree with you in number 2 but it is really difficult to avoid irresponsible people from creating sites which corrupt the minds of young people. I can definitely consider technology as a blessing because from its invention until the present, it is continually helping us all in finding ways to make life easier, better and less complicated. We, through the help of technology, have improved so much in so many ways that there is no reason for us to deny that technology is a great blessing that we have received in the midst of our human history.

3. If I was given the chance to choose on what I prefer between having technology or not, I would choose to have technology with us. Because so far, our experiences with technology during the time when it was invented until these days, have lead and brought us all to a lot of improvements that helped not only the "technology users" but also the whole world in making life easier, less complicated, more convenient and better.

You remember one of our lessons when we said that "we should the the medium of the message"? I infer based on your answer that indeed, we cannot ask the world to be responsible users of the internet unless we start it with our very own selves. Your idea in number 3 is very much appreciated. Just one question, having watched the clip about 'the home of the future" do you think it is really possible for that to happen around the globe? If yes, what do you think will be the consequences?
DeleteMy answer to your follow-up question is a yes and a no. Yes because just by looking at the previous actions of men, we can see an unending process of curiosity that leads to experiments and then eventually ending up with another product of man's curiosity, intelligence and imagination that is said to help the world. But on the other hand, I said no because along with all of the wonderful creations and innovations that we have gone through is the participation or presence of nature in that process wherein nature is always at the stage of being at risk. So, about this "Home of the Future" thing. Can it happen? Let's just wait for the answer as we go along and wait for our future. " Our future and fate greatly depends on our present and on what we are doing with/to/in it while we still have it."
DeleteMy answer to your second follow up question is that if it does happen("the home of the future"), I bet that it wont last long and it will be just one of those things or experiments that we wasted our money on because it isn't that much important than the world getting harmed and destroyed. Let's just say that technology is like a burning fire. It needs a lot of "fuel" to sustain it and keep its flare, heat and light going. Same is true with what technology is doing. It is providing so many wonderful things, but it also burns up so many things along with it. " Home of the Future" A.K.A. "Grief of our Nature"

3.both,yes because it has helped us in our life and it has became a blessing to us and no because we use technology to much we take it for granted for example then. people used to go to the park or mall etc and meet up with friends have chats with them greet them in person but today. we sit in our living rooms bedrooms just sitting there with a laptop or cellphone talking to people that is in the same situation but I'm not telling that communication through technology is bad its just that if we really can't be with the people we will talk to lets use technology to talk to them but if we can be with them why not just go and meet them.

You a have a perfect idea: Technology, though it paved way for long distance communication to prosper also hinders true to life communication. I often times feel bad when I am with some friends who would hold their phones and forget the real face to face communication we used to have. Sometimes, technology also hinders family communication at home. Instead of talking with each other, members seem to be busy with their gadgets. Great!

We have learned and are learning through the years that technology "makes" money by using it for innovation which can be viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements to accomplish more effective products, ideas, and process wherein, it is sad to say, nature is involved. Cutting down trees to build facilities. Wiping out forests for industrial buildings. Polluted oceans, rivers and other bodies of water caused by people that illegally dumps waste or rubbish. Factories polluting the air that we breathe because of the smoke coming from it. All of these, because of our own actions, destroys our home and we still call it "innovation" which I believe is wrong.
2. We can promote responsible use of technology by being a good model to other people. We should know our limits in using this blessing, as they have said, for others to learn from us and for them to not use our technology a bridge that would help us find a way to harm others.
3. Behind the negative effects that technology causes, it has still helped us in our daily lives by doing things that we usually do easier. Sending a letter with just a click, socializing, and sharing. These are some examples in which technology has allowed us by accomplishing certain tasks and providing sources that we use to lead us to success.

Technology really has a lot of advantages BUT it also comes with disadvantages that affect not only man but even his surroundings and the planet in general. Your answer makes me infer that In our quest for comfort, we abuse nature for our own interest which makes nature fight back through natural calamities. I agree with you when you said we have to know our limitations in using technology. I am in awe when you said that technology is a bridge to create peaceful relationships ("not use our technology a bridge that would help us find a way to harm others") . Nice one!

3.I prefer technology in my life because it is used for everyday lives. God therefore is the real father of technology because without His gift of knowledge, mankind would not be able to create inventions and technology-oriented and related matters.Using technology as a means for evangelization and Gospel proclamation is a good way of thanking God for such a gift.
